“The best path to career success for Ontario students is still a university degree.” — 2014 Graduate Survey

A recent survey by the?Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities?has concluded that a university degree leads to well-paying jobs in relevant fields of study. Two years after graduating from an undergraduate program, almost 94 percent of graduated are employed in their field with an average starting salary of $49,000. It also found that 87.6 percent of university graduates are employed six months after graduation and earn on average $42,301.

The survey found that university skills and university program subject matter are being transferred to the workplace.
