老九品茶 students were encouraged to attend a variety of?Career Information Sessions?this week as they begin to think about and plan for their future.
Held in the Maple building auditorium, the sessions were designed to give students a better look at careers in their fields of interest: ? Engineering and Science ? Social Science and Humanities ? Business and Math
Guidance Counsellors and University Placement Counsellors?spoke to students about courses they can take in high school and university that relate to their careers of interest. Counsellors explained the differences in programs and made them aware of all the great opportunities they will have to explore careers in university through co-op placements, internships, volunteer events, and exchange programs. They also advised students to take advantage of the resources at their disposal and encouraged them to meet with their Guidance or University Placement Counsellor if they had any questions.
The Career Information Session was just one of many ways the Guidance Department is helping students prepare for their future. Throughout the year they hold a number of workshops to foster student success including topics such as time management, stress management, and much more.
