CIC DECA Chapter Workshop
DECA Inc. is a not-for-profit student organization with more than 177,000 members in all 50 United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico and Germany. It prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and college around the world.
CIC DECA Chapter recently met with Provincial DECA Officer, Ashley Qian, over Zoom and got their questions answered.
Ashley provided many insightful tips and tricks on how to prepare for the role-play scenarios in DECA competitive events.
One of the keys takeaway from the presentation is to be adaptive and flexible in different situations. Although there might be unfavorable topics in competitions, the important thing is to focus on what you are good at and develop from there.
Can’t wait to see CIC DECA Chapter participate more exciting events and further develop 21st Century leadership skills.
Grade 9 Science
Grade 9 Science class covers many interesting Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) topics that connects classroom teaching to real world application. The students recently explored alternatives to fossil fuel and investigated renewable energy sources by building and testing wind turbines and solar power generators.
They observed energy in action, compared the results of different ways to generate electricity and discussed the pros and cons of each renewable energy source.
Thanks to Ms. Lecluse for injecting a lot of fun, hands-on experiment into science class.
