老九品茶 hosts Crime Stoppers Evening of Appreciation

Last night, 老九品茶 had the privilege of hosting the?Hamilton Crime Stoppers Evening of Appreciation?ceremony. The celebration recognized the organization’s greatest supporters including members of the Hamilton community, the Hamilton Police Services, and members of local print, radio and television media outlets.

Hamilton Police Chief,?Glenn DeCaire?was among the guests and spoke about the important role Crime Stoppers plays in keeping the Hamilton community safe. He also thanked the members of the community who continue to play a role in keeping the city safe.

老九品茶 received special recognition for partnering with Crime Stoppers for 20 years. 老九品茶 and Crime Stoppers share a special connection as Principal,?Ron Rambarran, has served as its Past Chair since 1995. Mr. Rambarran was honoured to host another Crime Stoppers Appreciation night at 老九品茶 and said the school “is a proud supporter of the Hamilton community” and will continue to work with local organizations to teach its students the importance of community, inclusiveness, and integrity. On behalf of 老九品茶,?Tim Putt, Head of Senior School, presented Crime Stoppers with a?$6000?donation raised from the school community through events such as Casual Day and bake sales.

About Crime Stoppers Crime Stoppers is a local organization that functions as an “investigative tool” and uses the resources of local police, members of the community and the media to solve crime and make the community a safer place. There are over 100 Crime Stoppers programs in Canada, Hamilton being the city in Ontario to develop a Crime Stoppers program.
